CFexpress memory card hire

We hire CFexpress Type A and Type B memory cards to productions across the UK, with over 20 years of experience supplying camera media to the broadcast industry.

What is CFexpress?

CFexpress is the removable memory card standard set by the CompactFlash Association. It uses the PCIe interface, with each lane carrying roughly 1GB/s of data, giving the speed needed for high-resolution and RAW video recording.

Type A, Type B and Type C

CFexpress comes in three physical sizes. They are not interchangeable — your camera takes one specific type.

Type A — the smallest card, one PCIe lane, up to about 1,000MB/s. Used in cameras such as the Sony FX3, FX30 and A7S III. Hire Type A cards.
Type B — two PCIe lanes, up to about 2,000MB/s (newer v4 cards go faster still). Common in cinema and high-end stills cameras. Hire Type B cards.
Type C — the largest, four PCIe lanes, up to about 4,000MB/s.
