The small print & the good stuff
Our hire terms, good practice guidance, the people we work with, and how we look after the environment.
The key points of hiring from MemoryRental.com, in plain English.
The hire period starts on the day of delivery and ends on the day the equipment is returned to us. Extensions can be arranged by contacting us before the agreed return date.
Your first hire is paid upfront. Approved credit accounts move to 30-day settlement terms. We accept bank transfer and secure online payment via the Pay Now button on your invoice. We do not take payments over the phone.
Equipment must be kept in the condition it was supplied in and used in line with the manufacturer's guidance. Any loss or damage during the hire period is the hirer's responsibility.
If equipment is returned after the agreed date without an arranged extension, additional hire charges will apply at the standard daily rate.
Let us know as soon as possible if you need to cancel or change a booking — we'll always do our best to accommodate changes to your production schedule. If your cards have already been shipped out, a one-day minimum hire charge applies.
Simple habits that keep your footage safe from card to edit.
Returning cards safelyAlways copy and verify your footage on at least two separate devices before formatting or reusing any card. A card should never hold the only copy of your material.
Format cards in the camera you’ll be shooting on, not on a computer. This keeps the card's file structure exactly as the camera expects it.
Label cards clearly as they come out of the camera. A simple numbering system avoids mix-ups between shot and unshot media on a busy set.
Keep cards in their cases when not in use, away from dust, moisture and static. Never force a card into a slot — if it doesn't slide in easily, check the orientation.
Stop using the card immediately. Do not format it or write anything new to it. Contact us straight away — the less the card is used after a problem, the better the chance of recovery.
Before sending media back, make sure your footage is safely copied and verified. Let us know if a card has behaved oddly so we can check it before its next hire.
We supply camera memory to productions across TV, broadcast and film — from single-camera shoots to full series and features.

Rental is inherently greener than buying — every card we hire out is one fewer card manufactured and eventually thrown away.
Our stock is hired, checked and rehired many times over its working life, maximising the value of every card manufactured.
When media reaches the end of its life, it is disposed of through certified electronic waste recycling — never general waste.
We reuse protective cases and packaging wherever possible and keep delivery materials to the minimum needed to keep your hire safe.
Call or email us — we're happy to talk through the details.
